Having your convertible, classic car or second car taken to winter storage
In autumn the convertible or the classic car has to go into the storage garage, and out again in spring. If you drive it yourself, you need a second person to bring you back. A driver transfers the car, and you do not have to ask anyone for a favour.
How does my car get to winter storage and back in spring?
The transfer is a single ride from one address to another:
- You enter the pick-up address, the storage garage and the time window and see the fixed price.
- The driver takes the car and keys and records the condition with photos.
- The same series of photos is taken at the destination. Please arrange access to the garage with the landlord beforehand.
What applies to interchangeable plates or deposited number plates?
For the ride the car must carry valid number plates and be roadworthy. With interchangeable plates (Wechselschilder), you fit the plates to this vehicle for the ride. If the plates have been deposited with the road traffic office, we cannot transfer the car on the road.
How is the condition of a collector's car recorded?
At pick-up and at handover a photo report is created with at least 10 photos, mileage, fuel level, time and signature. The driver marks visible damage directly on the photo. It is best to hand over the car clean and in daylight.
What does the transfer to winter storage cost?
One ride costs CHF 69 if pick-up and destination are up to 10 km apart. Up to 20 km it is CHF 40 more, up to 35 km CHF 80 more. For longer distances a per-kilometre rate applies, shown by the calculator. For vehicles worth more than CHF 100,000 a surcharge of CHF 20 applies. All prices exclude VAT.
