Garages: your customer can see where their car is
A customer who has their car collected hands the key to a driver they do not know. With a link you send from the garage area, your customer can see on a map, during the ride, where the car is and when it should arrive.
What does my customer see while the car is on the way?
The link opens the status page of the ride, with no app and no account. Under "Where is the car?" the page lists the stages with their times: picked up, on the way, arrived. During the ride a map shows the car's last position and how old it is, together with the expected arrival time. The price of the ride is not shown on the page.
How do I send the link to my customer?
Open the ride in the garage area. A ready-made message with the link is there, signed with your garage's name:
- Tap "Send link" and choose how the message goes out. WhatsApp and email are right next to it.
- The message is written in the language you chose for your customer when you booked.
- Your customer opens the link on a phone or computer, without signing up anywhere.
Why does that make it easier to hand over the key?
People who hand their car to someone else often wonder what happens to it while they cannot see it. While the car is being driven, the map answers part of that question. The photo report answers the rest: condition, mileage and fuel level at pick-up and at handover. To your customer, all of this comes from your garage. You offer collection as a service of your own, and nobody has to leave the workshop for it.
How accurate is the position?
The position comes from the driver's phone and is recorded only during the ride, from pick-up to handover. The map shows the last position received, with its time. In a tunnel or with poor reception it can be a few minutes old. The page then says so, and gives an arrival estimate again only once a new position comes in. We delete the positions a few days after the ride.
What does it cost?
We do not charge for the link or the map. A single ride costs CHF 65. With a monthly subscription a ride costs less than CHF 60, and less than CHF 54 with the largest subscription: subscriptions start at CHF 599 per month for 10 rides, and the Plus subscription includes 25 rides per month for CHF 1’349. The first ride is free. All prices are for rides up to 10 km, excluding VAT.
