Blog,
Someone else is driving my car: what happens on the way?
Anyone who leaves their car with a driver wonders what happens to it while they cannot see it. There is a reason for the worry: consumer programmes have reported cases where a car left with someone else came back with far more kilometres on the clock than expected. That is why, with us, you should be able to check what happened to your car.

How many kilometres has my car been driven?
At pick-up the driver photographs the dashboard: mileage and fuel level go into the report, with the time. At handover at the destination the driver takes the same photo again. The difference is the distance driven. You can compare it with the route between your two addresses.
Does the driver take the direct route?
Yes. You booked a ride between the two addresses you gave, and the fixed price is based on that route. The driver takes the direct route between them. If a diversion or a traffic jam calls for another road, you can see it from the position on the map.
Can I see where the car is during the ride?
Yes. During the ride the status page of your booking shows the car's last position on a map, with its time, and the expected arrival time. The position comes from the driver's phone and can be a few minutes old where reception is poor. The map shows where the car last was, not a recorded route: after the ride, the two mileage readings show how far it was driven.
Is my fuel used?
For the booked route, yes: the car runs on your fuel or your electricity. The report states how much was in the tank at pick-up and at handover, with a photo each time. A difference that does not match the route would stand out.
What should I do if something does not add up?
You receive both reports as PDFs by email. If a mileage reading does not match the route, or you notice anything else, contact us directly on WhatsApp or by phone. We will go through the reports with you.
What does a ride cost?
You see the fixed price before you book. One ride costs CHF 69 if pick-up and destination are up to 10 km apart. Up to 20 km it is CHF 40 more, up to 35 km CHF 80 more. For longer distances a per-kilometre rate applies, shown by the calculator. All prices exclude VAT.
